Tutti Fruiti
As I get older, I have finally come to understand my mother’s love of fruit. I would probably give you my chocolate bar and even my cheese before relinquishing the fruit in my diet.
Yesterday I had blueberries, a grapefruit, a mango, three oranges, and some dried cranberries. I declared the mango (from Peru) to be the best I had ever tasted. It was sweet and juicy and perfectly ripe.
Are you a fruit-o-holic? Is there such as thing as too much fruit in one’s diet? I certainly hope not.

I'm more of a veg than a fruit, but I can appreciate the proclivity. Enjoy!
I go through phases. I prefer watery, not too sugary fruits of late. So things like oranges (especially Mandarins or Clementines), melons and berries I find satisfying. I am not too crazy about bananas or apples anymore.
I think when you start having diarrhea, you have probably had too much fruit and need to back off a bit.
Kristin -- At your age I would have said the same thing, but as I get older I am leaning more toward fruit than veggies.
Richard -- My sentiments exactly about bananas and apples. They seem so commonplace when compared to oranges and mangoes.
I've actually heard that bananas are good for diarrhea and most stomach ailments.
I like fruit and veggies, but I wish I was attracted to them. :>)
I definitely need to increase the fruit I consume - I like a lot of different kinds of fruit, but rarely pick fruit up to nibble on - probably because other than bananas and occasionally apples I don't buy much fruit. veggies there's another story - I eat lots of veggies - haven't met a veggie I haven't loved!
thinking about this, maybe it's because I'm a 'salty' vs 'sugar' or savory over sweet kind of gal....
I love visiting my folks because my mom always has fresh fruit around and makes wonderful fruit salads. I can't recall ever thinking about making fruit salad, unless I was directed to for a potluck or some other function!
love mangos!!!!
